All That Sparkles

Top: Forever 21 (love this option and this one) | Pixie Pants: J.Crew | Heels: Aldo |
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Lipstick: Burberry

Hi my love's! With New Year's Eve tomorrow, I wanted to share a fun and festive look. This top was purchased last year, but I have linked similar versions above and below. You can never go wrong with a pair of black pixie pants (my favorite!) and heels. Simply adding a blouse or other sparkly top of your own would complete this outfit perfectly! Wishing you a wonderful, safe and memorable time ringing in the New Year. xx

Travel Makeup For The Holidays

Perfume: Joe Malone (Orange Blossom) | Nail Polish: Essie (Bordeaux) | Lipstick: Burberry (Ruby) | Highlighter: Benefit | Bronzer: Laura Mercier (Golden Bronze)  | Eye Shadow: MAC (Warming Heart) | Makeup Bag: Kate Spade (similar here)

Hi loves! I am officially back East. It has been a busy past few weeks with lots of changes, but I am so happy to be closer to family and start my next adventure!

While unpacking some of my things, I thought that I would put together a little post on some of my favorite beauty products for the holidays. Packing for travel can always be a bit stressful to begin with, and when it's for the holidays it adds on a whole other thought process. I love getting dressed up during this time of year and adding a little extra something to my makeup routine. Above are a few things that can spruce up your every day routine to give you that holiday glam look. Best of all, the products featured are small enough to squeeze into your cosmetic bags. Safe travels in the coming days! xx

Gift Guide: For Her

Here are a few of my favorite things. I always like gifting loved ones with a pair of new pajamas, beauty products or a special piece of jewelry. Last year, I received this cashmere scarf with my monogram on it. It would make such a perfect gift for your mom, sister or best friend! In addition, I recently tried a sample of this perfume and it quickly made it onto my Christmas list with no questions, at all! What is on your list this year?

Where The Heart Is

It was a bit difficult for me to decide if and when to share this post, but knew it was important to be open with my readers on this time in my life. As most of you know, my family lives back East. Living so far away from them has never been easy, but it gave me the confidence to be the person I am today; ultimately, leading me to start this little blog. The great city of Chicago has been my home for the past six years. During that time, I have graduated college, started to build my career (and an even thicker skin), had my heartbroken, and made the best lifelong friends a girl could ask for. I truly owe becoming the independent person I am now to my experiences in this city. This weekend I will officially be moving back East to follow my dreams of living in New York City - I am a bundle of mixed emotions, but most of all excited! If anything, I hope this post leaves you with the extra confidence that you can take chances, challenge the unknown, and listen to where your heart truly is. So much more to come... xx

Gift Guide: For Him

This gift list is all about the guy's in our lives. I find that both my brother and dad can be the most fun to shop for. They always say that, "they don't need anything for Christmas," which makes me even more excited to find them the perfect present! I gathered together a few of my favorite ideas above. Happy shopping! xx

Turtleneck Sweater

Sweater: Tory Burch | Vest: J.Crew | Denim: 7FAM | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Flats: Tory Burch

Happy Tuesday, loves! Here is another look that I wore over Thanksgiving weekend. If you haven't noticed already, I kind of have a thing for turtlenecks. I don't know what it is exactly, but when wearing one I instantly feel a bit more chic and put together. In particular, I have had my eye on this turtleneck for a while. I love the detail in the front and the little cuffs on the sleeves. Although it is definitely an investment piece, I know it will be used for many seasons to come - the style and fit is classic with just enough spunk! xx

Stocking Stuffers

With December officially here, gift guides are in full swing! One of my favorite presents to buy are stocking stuffers. I love coming up with cute ideas every year that are small enough to fit inside - after all, it's not the size of the gift but the thought that truly counts! Here are a few of the little things that I love to give: beauty products, scented candles, cozy slippers and a notebook for to-do lists. xx

Olive Green

Poncho Sweater: Forever 21 | Striped Tee: J.Crew (similar here) | Boots: Blondo Danny Over The Knee Boot via Nordstrom | Pants: J.Crew | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Necklace: Julie Vos |

Over the holiday weekend, I spent the majority of my time in cozy sweaters. The weather was not as chilly in Connecticut, so I was able to get away with wearing layers rather than a thick winter coat. Since purchasing this sweater a few weeks ago, I have worn it non-stop. I absolutely love the olive green color because it is different from anything else I own. In addition, I can't say enough about these black boots. Last week, I got stuck in a rainstorm while wearing them and they are still good as new. This afternoon, I am heading back to Chicago and am so excited for the coming weeks which will be filled with holiday party festivities with friends! xx

Packing For The Holidays

Duffle Bag: Sole Society | Hat: Eugenia Kim | Poncho Sweater: Massimo Dutti (similar here) | Heels: J.Crew | Wallet: Tory Burch | Card Case: Kate Spade | Cosmetic Bag: Tory Burch (similar here)

As mentioned in past travel posts, I try my very best to pack lightly. This year, I have an obsession with poncho's and sweater coats. I can easily pair a different blouse or one of my favorite turtleneck tee's underdeath in order to make the look feel a bit refreshed, which will be perfect for a long weekend trip. I always make sure to throw in a dress and heels, but know that my family will be spending most of our evenings casually by the fire. An abundance of leggings and cozy socks will be sneaking their way into my bag - I can't wait! What are some of the things you are planning to pack for the upcoming holidays? Wishing you safe travels in the coming days! xx

Gift Guide: For the Hostess

With holiday party's, Thanksgiving dinners and other festivities in full swing this month, I thought it would be the perfect time to share a gift guide for the hostess. I love making my gifts as personal as possible. One of my absolute favorite things to do, is tie an ornament to a bottle of wine or baked good. Another idea that I love is giving my host a scented candle. I especially like this one from Nest - my mom has it burning at our home over the holidays and it simply smells amazing! Personally, a gift is just as much fun to wrap, so I know I will be picking up cute gift tags like these. Stay tuned for more gift guides in the coming weeks! xx
