Sweet Domino Designs

There is something special to me about a handwritten note, as it can be kept and looked back on forever. In addition, I have always found that taking the extra time to send a bit of snail mail can make someone feel that much more thought of. With Mother's Day around the corner, I am currently looking for cute cards to write a thoughtful note. Sweet Domino Designs was recently started by Emily Butera. She hand designs all cards herself and then digitalizes them on her iPad. Her designs come from little images she will find herself doodling in a notebook, or other inspirations she finds. Emily always created handmade cards for her family and friends, who encouraged her to start her own business. It is so special that we can now all share her designs with our loved ones, as well.

Sweet Domino Designs Mother's Day card options are cute and unique!

Happy Weekend!

Happy Friday my dear's! I am hopeful that last week's warm weather will repeat itself this weekend, so that I can pull out my Tumbled Leather Thora sandals again - wishful thinking, maybe? Speaking of Tory Burch, they are currently having their Friends and Fans event sale! I have my eye on a few things including; these, this and that. Wishing you a safe and wonderful weekend! xx

P.S. I will be sharing my first collaboration next week - including something extra sweet for you!

Little Spring Jacket

Jacket: Ella Moss (similar here, here and here | Denim: J Brand | Heels: BCBG | Tee: J.Crew | Purse: Forever 21 | Sunnies: Tory Burch

One of my favorite things about Spring are the warm days and cool evenings. I love being able to mix and match my outfits with different little jackets. Last year, I purchased this tweed jacket from Ella Moss. It is extremely transitional - evenings out, brunch, work, the options for this little jacket are endless. In addition, this look could easily be dressed down with a pair of flats or paired with a summer dress. I have linked a few other Spring jacket options above, including another Ella Moss option from this season. Enjoy! xx

Pastels

Purse: Elizabeth and James via Shopbop | Espadrille's: Club Monaco | Necklace: J.Crew | Blouse: J.Crew | Earrings: Design Darling | Faux leather jacket: BB Dakota via Shopbop | Belt: Kate Spade | Cosmetic Case: Kate Spade | Pumps: J.Crew (similar style linked)

With Easter weekend around the corner and the Spring season in full swing, I pulled together a few of my favorite items featured in pretty pastels. This weekend we are flying to Ohio for a wedding and extending our trip a bit longer so that we can celebrate Easter with my boyfriend's family - the items above could not be more fitting for the weekend festivities and Sunday's holiday, don't you think? Have a wonderful Thursday! xx

Cuffed

Denim: Paige | Jacket: J.Crew | Top: Zara (similar) | Booties: Tory Burch | Necklace: Gorjana (similar here and here)

This past Saturday, we were excited to head out to enjoy the Spring weather. I pulled out a few early Spring items from my closet that I had not been given a chance to wear yet - a simple white top I purchased at Zara a few weeks ago, light jacket and cuffed jeans with short boots. By the end of the day, the sun was even warm enough to skip the jacket - the first time since October! xx

Bright City Fitness

Jersey Sweater | Sneakers | Tank | Sports Bra | Vest | Phone Case | Headband | Yoga Mat | Bag | Leggings

During the weekend, I often find myself running to and from locations in order to get errands done and multi-task. I find that having workout apparel that can be worn for both, has been the best investment. Here are a few items from various retailers that I currently have my eye on - I love the look of the Solow pants, as they add a bit more coverage than the regular legging. In addition, this phone case from Athleta is brilliant! The weather will be a bit iffy throughout the next few months in Chicago, so switching to a lighter vest like the one shown above will be the perfect transitional layer.

I took my first run (in shorts!) of the Spring season along Lake Michigan this past weekend and could not resist taking a photo. No matter how many times I run along it, I will never tire of the gorgeous Chicago lake front! xx

Boyfriend Jeans

Denim: Joe's Jeans via T.J.Maxx | Tee: J.Crew | Heels (currently sold out, similar here and here) | Watch: Michele | Scarf: Similar

Boyfriend jeans have always been an item on my wish list, but I have had quite some difficulty finding a pair that fit me in a flattering way. Recently I came across this pair of Joe's Jeans while at Nordstrom Rack. When it came to styling I decided I wanted to add a more feminine flair. I paired them with my silver heels and favorite pashmina scarf that I received as a gift from my aunt in Europe. xx

Saturday Style

Blouse: Equipment | Sweater: J.Crew | Denim: J Brand | Tote: Louis Vuitton | Boots: Hunter

Here is a little weekend style inspiration. The past few days have been a bit chilly with rain, making it the perfect excuse to throw on a cozy sweater, colored rain boots and a classic white button down. It's the little things that can help to make your day brighter. Have a wonderful Saturday my love's! xx

Dainty Details

There are certain pieces of jewelry that I wear on a daily basis. Some of them have a special memory or sentimental meaning, others I wear because they simply go with everything. I love the look of a thin and dainty necklace or bracelet (seen on my Instagram here) because it can be worn every day. I find that jewelry is one of the most unique ways that one can express themselves and their personal style, as it can tie an outfit together or be personalized in many different ways. Above are a few cute and dainty pieces I currently have my eye on from Shopbop and Baublebar. Enjoy! xx

Transitioning Layers

Faux Fur Vest: Goodnight Macaroon (on sale!) | Striped TeePixie Pants and Phone Case: J.Crew | Flats: Tory Burch | Purse: Forever 21 (no longer available) | Watch: Michele

Happy first day of April! Similar to Fall, during early Spring layering is key here in Chicago. This past Sunday, I was able to get away with switching out my jacket for a vest. I love to keep my looks simple and add a few pieces to make it my own - this faux fur vest from Goodnight Macaroon helps me to do just that. I have been eager to mix Spring items into my daily outfits, but after six years of living here, Chicago weather and I know each other a bit too well. On the bright side, I am a firm believer that a long winter will lead to a beautiful summer! xx
