Wool Hat

Hat: Eugenia Kim | Top: Vince (similar here and here) | Denim: Mother via Anthropologie | Heels: DSW | Necklace: Kenneth Jay Lane

This season, I was in search of the perfect Fall hat. I had my eye on a few that were a bit over my budget, so when I found this one for under $100, I knew it was the one. This outfit is one of my favorite's for Fall, so far! I love how comfortable it is, while still looking a bit dressy. Have a wonderful and safe Halloween tomorrow! xx

Pumpkin Oat Chocolate Chip Cookies

With Halloween this week, I thought that I would share a festive Fall recipe. I am always looking for new recipes to try - you may be able to tell if you follow me on Pinterest. However, I decided to take a few of the different recipes I found and create my own sweet treat. The best part, it is quick and easy! These cookies are so gooey and yummy that I think they will need to become an annual tradition. You can find the full recipe below. xx

Ingredients:
1 stick of softened butter
1 egg
1 bag of Betty Crockers chocolate chip cookie mix (or your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe)
1/2 cup of quick oats
1/2 a can of pure pumpkin

Directions:
Set the oven to 375 degrees. Add the cookie mix, butter and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Stir in the pumpkin and oats until fully combined. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 14 minutes. Let cool, and enjoy!

Tied With A Bow

Denim: 7FAM | Blouse: Asos | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Flats: Tory Burch | Watch: Michele

This past weekend spent in Washington D.C. with my family was so much fun! We could not have asked for better weather. These pictures were taken on Saturday morning in the Capital Hill area. My family and I took a walk around the neighborhood after eating the most delicious brunch at Belga Cafe - one of our favorite spots! I love the city's charm, tree lined streets, brick sidewalks and wanted to find a background that captured that feel. During my trip I packed two pairs of denim, one being these that I ordered off of Shopbop during their sale last week. I paired it with this cute bow tie blouse from Asos, a simple black bag and flats. Perfect for a Fall afternoon! xx

Travel Style

Tonight I am flying to Washington D.C. to visit my brother and our parents are driving down from Connecticut so that we can all be together! I love last minute weekends like this - they always end up being the most memorable. I have a feeling that the look above will not only be my travel style for this weekend but also for the upcoming holidays. When traveling, I like to layer with different items and wear my biggest accessories on the plane. This way I can mix and match with the basics I pack in my bag - I have had this one for years, and think I may invest in this from Sole Society before my next trip! So simple and chic.

Don't forget to shop the Shopbop Friends and Family Sale which ends tonight at midnight. You can shop my picks here. Wishing you a wonderful and happy weekend! xx

Shopbop Sale

One of my favorite times of the year is here - the Shopbop Friends and Family Sale! If you have been following my blog for some time, you will know that I absolutely love Shopbop. They carry so many different designers, products, and I love how they model every piece so that you can see what it looks like on. Sometimes, I go onto the site just to get inspiration! As mentioned in my Fall budgeting post a few weeks ago, now is the perfect time to stock up on basics and staples. Below are the items I currently have in my shopping cart. This sweater is a bit of a splurge for me, but it looks like the perfect piece to transition into the chilly Chicago winter. The sale lasts through Thursday, October 16 @ 11:59pm PT. Enter code FAMILY25 to receive 25% off your order. Happy shopping! xx

M2 Boutique

Necklace: M2 Boutique ℅ | Sweater: Old Navy | Skirt: Old Navy | Boots: Frye

Living in Chicago since college, has helped me to narrow down some of my favorite boutiques in the city. M2 Boutique is one of them! They sell cute gifts, handbags and jewelry of all kinds. I always love popping in, as their unique displays and the feel of the store is so much fun to be in. Everything from the sparkly jewelry, friendly staff and their little pup, Moxie, who makes her way around the store greeting all of the customers. M2 Boutique just celebrated their 8th anniversary on Southport Avenue (a few blocks down from the Southport brown line) and their owner, Mel, recently opened up an additional store location in Roscoe Village. She has loved jewelry her entire life and been in business for 11 years. If you are in the Chicago area I would suggest putting them on your list of places to visit - I know you will find something (or a few) that you absolutely love, just like I always do! xx

October Favorite's

Here are a few of the things I am currently loving! Now that the weather is starting to cool down, there seems to be nothing better than coming home from work, lighting a candle and cuddling under a cozy blanket. I have a thing for distressed denim lately and love the idea of dressing it up with a pair of heels and cute blouse. The Chanel nail polish has been on my radar and I just purchased this hat from Revolve Clothing - I absolutely love it for Fall! Throw in a little faux fur to the mix, like this sweater, and I am always happy! What are you loving for Fall right now? xx

Over the Knee

Jacket: Ella Moss (similar here) | Skirt: Theory (similar here) | Boots: Blondo Danny Over The Knee Waterpoof Boot via Nordstrom | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Sunnies: Dolce & Gabbana

This past weekend was a bit chilly - we managed to get down to the thirties on Saturday! Although I love Fall, I am not quite sure if I am ready for Winter weather? Nevertheless, it was the perfect time to test out my Blondo Over The Knee Waterpoof Boot - I wore them every day this weekend! I love how they instantly dress up any outfit. Better yet, they are waterproof. Rain or shine, they will definitely be my best friend in the coming months. Happy Tuesday! xx

Decor Wishlist

Pillows: Crate and Barrel (also love these) | Lamp: Target | Ghost Chair: Lulu and Georgia (budget friendly version here) | Candle: Diptqyue | Matches: Waiting on Martha | Chevron Box: C.Wonder | Pouf: Calypso St. Barth (budget friendly here) | Tray Table: West Elm

With Fall officially here, I not only feel as if I need a wardrobe refresh, but a few additions around the apartment. Similar to my personal style, I am drawn to a simple palette with added details to personalize a look as my own. I love the classic and serene feel of the Moroccan pouf from Calypso St. Barth (I found this version that more closely matches my budget), the fuzzy look to these pillows, and think a ghost chair will be perfect for my new desk setup. The light color scheme will bring warmth to the apartment leaving it cozy and bright for the chilly Chicago temperatures to come. In what ways would you refresh your living space? xx

P.S. Throughout October, Tory Burch is donating 20% of select styles purchased, to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This is a cause that is close to my heart and I know to many others.
