Our Week In Spain

Spain was simply a dream! Everything from the culture to lifestyle made me fall in love with the country even more. We could not have gotten luckier with the weather, as the sun came out every single day! While in Madrid, we stayed with friends and spent the majority of our 3 days walking the city from top to bottom. Some of the things I loved the most were the Prado Museum, Royal Palace, and Mercado San Miguel. A hidden gem, which I highly recommend, is visiting the city hall and walking to the top. While there you can enjoy 360 views of the city! A couple of the restaurants we tried and loved were Botin (they say it's the oldest restaurant in the world) and Lateral which was so delicious!

That weekend, we drove to Toledo for a wedding. Definitely a place worth visiting while in Madrid, as it is under 1 hour outside of the city center. We stayed at the AC Hotel - an idealistic spot. The views were simply exquisite and not like anything else we had ever seen before!

After the wedding, we headed to Barcelona on the AVE train - at close to 200 miles per hour, it's certainly a quick way to travel! Upon arrival, we checked into the Alamanac Hotel which was pure perfection. On our first day, sightseeing included the Gaudi buildings, a walk down Las Ramblas to Mercado La Boqueria, and the Port of Barcelona. Dinner reservations were made ahead of time at Montiel which was a full food experience! If you have the time, I definitely suggest it - very intimate and a true taste of Catalonia.

On our second day, we spent time window shopping in El Born. It felt like we were in a movie with the cobblestone roads and little alleyways! After grabbing lunch (and some gelato!) we headed uptown to see both Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. We planned the park visit for last, which was perfect timing for sunset. That evening, our hotel helped us make dinner reservations at a fun spot called Bar Canete, where we sat up at the bar and watched them cook all of the different tapas. Honestly, one of our favorite meals during the trip!

This country truly captured a piece of my heart and I am so thankful for all of the memories we made while there. Hasta luego! xx

Autumn Essentials

As the leaves begin to change, so does my wardrobe! I am coveting all the chunky sweaters possible right now and I don't see that stopping any time soon. My essentials during this time of year remain consistent each year - comfy sweaters, leather leggings and chic flats. What are your autumn essentials for this time of year? xx
